A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to invalid email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated address or has made a mistake. The disadvantage of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of spam emails, but this issue can be solved using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot forward incoming email messages to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be surprisingly easy if you’ve got a cloud website hosting with our company. You can enable the feature through our powerful, yet easy-to-work-with Email Manager, which is integrated into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the account itself. You will find all the mailboxes that you have set up listed alphabetically and on the right side of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately reveal to you if a particular mailbox stores all the emails for a certain domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any moment. If there is enabled email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you’ll get a warning message from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated server with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the addresses that you set up using any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated hosting account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable this functionality will be to click on that icon. In the same way you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, if you don’t need it any longer. Our system will warn you in case you’re attempting to activate a second catch-all address for a certain domain or if there’s enabled email forwarding, but it will never modify or disable anything automatically and without your approval.
